Kew Gardens Experience Days

There's nothing like spending a few hours strolling around beautiful gardens to give you inspiration and thought for your own patch at home.

The world famous  Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, are situated in Richmond, Surrey, are situated in the south west of London, whilst their sister site sits in the Sussex High Weald at Wakehurst..   Amongst other things, Kew boasts a Treetop Walkaway, which offers spectactular views of the treetops and gardens below, the Palm House and Rose Garden.  The Palm House is one the largest surviving Victorian glasshouses in the world, whilst the Waterlily House has some of the world's largest water lilies and the smallest, too!

The Princess of Wales Conservatory has 10 different climatic zones; these include a cacti section, an orchid section and an area for carniverous plants, while the Alpine House holds the small, delicate flowers that grow in high mountain areas.  The Arboretum has the 'Old Lions', Kew's oldest trees;  some have been growing in the Gardens since their beginning in 1759!

Why not give a gift membership to Kew to the garden lover in your life?    (Click here to become a member of Wakehurst.)You could look at buying a garden lover a gift from Kew's online shop, or you could look at treating them to a Kew Gardens Experience.
